What Some of the Guys Thought
The weekend with Gary was great. Finding out that your calling is a journey and it generally does not all come at once was encouraging. I must increase to the level where I will be strong enough and ready enough to accept my calling and then do it.
That I need to bloom where God has planted me instead of complaining that I’m capable of more. Understanding the nature of God’s calling has made me realize I must not become impatient in reaching my calling but rather, I should be intentional in preparing myself through doing all God has me to do… to elevate me to the next level.
I liked that Gary in his teaching spoke from a personal experience and that every point he made was substantiated through scripture. His opinion was not just his or Ransomed Hearts opinion but it is substantiated in God’s word.”
Nel’s
Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much my heart benefited from last weekend (Calling.) While it was important to be exposed in person to the heart of one of the RHM team members, it was really more important to me that God showed up. I felt a little out of my depth Friday and Saturday — but God spoke to me powerfully on Sunday morning.
In fact, He gave me my new name! After a little of “Really, Lord? That’s really how you see me?” I began to reflect on the message of my wound, on what I have always come back to as the passions of my life, on what has really been core to me all along, I knew in my heart that my new name is the core “me”, the Calling of my life, the glory that God had entrusted to me.
