Notice… Preparing Your Heart!

We are really looking forward to the upcoming Calling weekend with Gary Barkalow! This will be a powerful time for all of us… and we are praying that God will do huge things in all of our hearts. So let us not be fooled but rather prepared! Expect opposition but you already know that right!

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering.”

In preparation for our time, pay attention to the warfare raised up against you. What can you learn from it? What does the enemy know about you that lie’s behind his assaults? He’s not indiscriminate in his tactics and strategy, his attack is against your call and glory… monitor it, learn something more about yourself from it. Is it discouragement? Seduction? Is it some old wound, or fear, or uncertainty? Take note of the tactics he uses, for they reveal the places in our lives that Jesus wants to heal. Some of those he’ll address at this coming retreat.

And fight it off, for it is God who has called you to this gathering of gallant spirits…

As part of Christ’s army, you march in the ranks of gallant spirits. Every one of your fellow soldiers is the child of the King. Some, like you are in the midst of battle, besieged on every side by affliction and temptation. Other’s after many assaults, repulses, and rallying of their faith, are already standing upon the wall of heaven as conquerors. From there they look down and urge you, their comrades on earth, to march up the hill after them. This is their cry: “Fight to the death and the City is your own, as now it is ours! For the waging of a few days’ conflict, you will be rewarded with heaven’s glory. One moment of this celestial joy will dry up all your tears, heal all your wounds, and erase the sharpness of the fight with all the joy of your permanent victory.”

Gary will take us deeper as we venture into the understanding of the call of God on our lives. We want to walk with you through what we believe are the critical stages of a man’s story, from boyhood to full manhood. God has written His call for you on your heart and that’s what we are after this coming weekend. Between now and the weekend, we highly recommend that you begin to prepare your heart.

By doing this it will remind you of the days we are living in and give you a better appreciation of what you are about to experience. Finally, we urge you to join us in daily prayer, leading up to and during the weekend. Stand in agreement with us and all the gallant spirits coming to take this training.

Pray for:

• Your own heart. That God would prepare you for what He has for you.
  (Proverbs 4:23, Mark 4, especially vs. 8 and 20, Matthew 5:8)
• The supernatural protection of your family leading up to and during the retreat.
• Every detail that God desires for this upcoming Calling weekend
